The Smart Digital Campus initiative at Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani (UNJANI) is a large-scale digital transformation program aimed at integrating technology into core academic and administrative processes. As part of this initiative, multiple enterprise-level systems were developed, including ERP, Learning Management Systems (LMS), online proctoring platforms, academic information systems, and new student admissions (PMB).

I served as a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer within a dedicated QA team responsible for validating the quality and reliability of all systems under development. My primary responsibility was acting as the Person in Charge (PIC) for the New Student Admissions (PMB) system, while also contributing to quality assurance efforts for academic and ERP systems. My work focused on requirements validation, functional testing, and exploratory testing to ensure system consistency and alignment across platforms.
To achieve reliable test coverage, I applied structured testing techniques such as decision table testing and boundary value analysis, supported by automated and regression testing using Katalon. I documented test results formally using Google Docs and Spreadsheets, and collaborated closely with developers through JIRA to report, track, and manage defects throughout the development lifecycle.
One of the key challenges in this project was managing repetitive testing cycles while maintaining effective communication with developers and system analysts. I addressed this by leveraging automation for regression testing and prioritizing defects based on risk and urgency, enabling the development team to focus on critical issues with the highest potential impact.
Through detailed and consistent testing, I identified several high-risk scenarios that had not been previously anticipated, helping to prevent potential failures before production release. The system is currently in active use at UNJANI, and my contributions were formally recognized by project stakeholders. This experience strengthened my technical rigor, communication skills, and sense of responsibility, and became a foundational milestone in my professional development as a QA engineer.
